Southampton-based Best Price Car Sales will be celebrating Black Friday on the last friday of November 2020. We will be giving all of our customers the chance to take advantage of great deals and prices on all of our 400 high quality used cars and used vans.

How did it all start?
The origins of Black Friday comes from the United States, and is launched the day after Thanksgiving, which is the kick off to the start of the Christmas season for the whole of America.

In the States, the day after Thanksgiving is normally the start of the Santa Claus parades, and the biggest and probably the most popular is the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade, sponsored by the huge department store, Macy’s. The main reason the store hosts and sponsors this parade is to advertise and bring the Christmas spirit to millions of people, thereby promoting the Christmas shopping season at the store and in turn, highlighting additional retail outlets across the country that the Christmas shopping spree has begun.

Due to its massive success, Black Fridays has spread globally to many other countries and has helped high street and online retailers to increase their sales revenues to maximise their profits for the busiest shopping event of the year.

Black Friday made its United Kingdom debut in 2003, with high street giant, Currys doing a promotion on electronic devices going on sale for under £50. This was popular for the electrical retailer but things didn’t really take off properly in the UK until 2013. This was when an American retailer called Asda launched their Black Friday sales which caused more British retailers to follow suit and the annual event grew dramatically from there.

With many countries now adopting Black Friday over recent years, it’s now regarded as the single biggest shopping day of the year. Every year in the media and online, you will see the chaos and stampedes of shoppers looking for the best bargains over the festive season.

Good time for bargain hunting
As more and more retailers and businesses in the UK are seeing the benefits of a pre Christmas discounted sales day, all shoppers will benefit from huge discounts and deals to help them through these trying times of Covid-19, furloughs, social distancing, curfews, redundancies, and lockdowns.

Best Price Car Sales will be promoting Black Friday across the UK, with discounted used cars and used vans, along with additional offers like, we will pay your first month’s instalment in 2021, so you have some spare money set aside to help you for the start of the new year.
